Position Details

Read entirely. If this is a position you are interested in then we will need the completed application, a good clear picture of your CDL front and back, TWIC, medical certification, and SS card to begin.  We need those to run your MVR and PSP background checks. They normally take two days to come back. As soon as that comes back and clear for insurance approval we can move forward with your preemployment drug screen. That takes two days, occasionally more. Once it’s back you’re clear to start your orientation.

Your first four paychecks will be at 50% instead of tiered. We know it’ll take you a little time to get acclimated, make friends with the port authorities, and get in a good rhythm with dispatch.   This is done instead of paying orientation, which is typically only one or two days.

The only parts of the application that you can skip over are the sections about your truck. It’s for insurance and fuel card assignments.  We will take care of that.

The pay tier is:

Over $6500 in weekly revenue – 50%

$4500 to $6499 – 40%

Below $4500 – 30%

We’re not looking for guys who are happy to bring home $1,200 a week. We’re looking for people who want to take home $2,500 or more each week and will show up every morning at 0430. It’s not difficult to earn $6k a week in revenue. That would put your TAKE HOME PAY home around $2,000 after fuel and your insurance. $6500 can often be difficult to earn if you don’t work Saturdays. Working Saturday is optional and not always available.

The only pay holdouts are 50% of the fuel and your occ/acc and bobtail insurance. It’s currently $49 per pay period. It will fluctuate by a few dollars. We pay the expensive liability and cargo insurance.

We cover all maintenance and repairs. We will go over those details later. 

Paperwork is extremely strict. It’s simple and quick to do but MUST be done on time.

It is a 1099 position.
